The Great Room brings the community together with events (think: salon sessions over cocktails, masterclasses on media storytelling, spectator games of murder mysteries, wellness workshops and more) designed to cultivate connections and foster friendships. Our events centre around lifestyle, wellness, business and learning.

We are looking for an Event Sales Manager who will become an extension of our Marketing and events team. Reporting to the Associate Director of Events & Partnership the Events Lead is responsible for member satisfaction. You will ensure events are successful and cost-effective, paying attention to budget and time constraints.

What will you do

Events Revenue KPI

– Develop and implement events marketing strategy to drive the Event team to achieve revenue targets
– Proactively nurture new clients to grow the client base
– Account management to grow incremental revenue with returning clients

Events Management

– Lead and support all Events Executives on any events management issues
– Assist with on-site event management across all locations when required
– Assist AD of Events & Partnership with allocation of events budget
– Deliver customer service and manage Event client’s experience
– Assist in regular events & daily activity planning & execution
– Assist in generating a detailed and engaging event agenda to ensure event success
– Execute special tasks and projects assigned by the AD of Events & Partnership

Events Payments

– Track Events team’s timely processing of all incoming and outgoing invoices
– Update all event payments & invoice trackers
– Lead all bad debt collection for events

Marketing Efforts

– Drive qualified leads into the sales pipeline and identify strong potential prospects lead opportunities
– Build relevant data and leads for marketing of events
– Explore ways to effectively market to the current database of past event clients/enquiries
– Assist AD of Marketing in development of comprehensive marketing plans for events through direct mail, email, website optimization, search engines and social media marketing.


– Manage the training and development of all interns
– Oversee and support timely training for events team members for any upgrade or integration of programs/systems used by the team

Who you are

– Have a successful sales track record in direct sales and an ability to develop targeted prospect databases
– Organisational and planning skills
– Analytical, flexible and able to solve problems on the fly
– Have the personal attributes to interact confidently with members and cross company teams at all different levels of seniority
– Ability to meet tight timelines and targets
– Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
